ScanLot ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the ScanLot mobile application.

We collect the following information when you use ScanLot:

• Scan data: Photos you submit for analysis, along with the AI-generated results including item names, estimated prices, and condition assessments.
• Usage data: Number of scans performed and subscription status.

Camera and Photo Access

ScanLot requires access to your device camera and photo library solely to enable the item scanning feature. Photos are transmitted securely to our servers for AI analysis and are not shared with third parties. We do not store your photos permanently — they are processed and discarded after analysis.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the ScanLot service
• To analyze items and generate resale price estimates
• To track your scan history and subscription status
• To communicate with you about your account

Data Storage

Your account data and scan history are stored securely using Supabase, a third-party database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

ScanLot uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Anthropic — AI analysis of submitted images
• Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases
• Railway — backend API hosting

Data Retention

We retain your scan history and account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at scanlotapp1@gmail.com.

Children's Privacy

ScanLot is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
